We use this technology behind the scenes to help build our communication strategies and to thoughtfully match students based on shared interests and complementary backgrounds, suggest engaging conversation topics, and help identify opportunities where students can support each other.

While AI helps facilitate these connections, the real magic happens in person, where genuine human relationships flourish!

Leadership

Hi, I'm Simone Dudley, a junior from Austin, TX, and the founder of Open Doors. Living through the isolation of Covid during my early teenage years opened my eyes to how challenging face-to-face communication had become for my generation. After spending so much time interacting through screens, many of my peers found it difficult to build authentic connections in the post-pandemic world. That's why I created Open Doors – to help high school students break free from these barriers and build meaningful connections.

My mission is to empower teenagers to step away from their phones, engage in real conversations, build strong networks for their future, and create a supportive community where everyone can thrive.
